In the Battle of Karbala
After her husband went to the battlefield, she decided to join the battlefield. So, she picked a stick to go to the battlefield, but Imam did not give her permission and said that jihad is not obligatory for women. After her husband was martyred, she went to the battlefield and began wiping the blood off her husband’s face. Shimr sent his slave, Rustam, towards her and he hit an iron club at Umm Wahb's head and she was martyred. Umm Wahb also played an important role in sending her son, Wahb to the battlefield. When her son went to the battlefield, returned after fighting for a short time and told his mother, "Are you happy now?" Umm Wahb said, "I will be happy when you become martyred at the feet of Imam al-Hussain." Thus, he went to the battlefield again and fought until he was martyred.
