Muvafagh-ibn-Ahmad-Kharazmi (484-568), the writer of Maqtal-al-Hussain, was a judge, orator, poet and literary figure.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Kharazmi was born in 484 AH and passed away in 568. Though of Hanafi sect and not of Shia, he had a clear interest in Shia Imams. Maqtal –al- Hossain is his most famous book and is derived from Al- Fotouh Ibn Asam. The book is divided into three parts and the middle part deals with the great movement of Imam Hossein and his martyrdom.
