About the book[edit | edit source]

The present book, which was chosen as the selected work in the fifth "Velayat Book of the Year" ceremony in 2002, is about the legitimacy of Imam Hussain's uprising. In its introduction, while pointing out the small number of analytical books about Sayyid al-Shuhada, it is said:

"Many of the ancient works are either Maqtal and have an emotional aspect, or are purely historical books and despite their importance, they are a raw subject for analysis."

Then the author adds:

"In the lands where the Sunni religion is dominant, the uprising of Imam Hussein is ignored and this book is responsible for examining the decline of the Islamic government and the uprising of that Imam. Hoping that, in the future, the Sunni-Shia conflict, which mostly originates from the incorrect examination of the texts, will end."
