Abstract of chapters[edit | edit source]
Chapter 1: Azadari – A movement by Lady Zainab (s.a)[edit | edit source]
This chapter which is the theme of the book expresses and exposes the true essence of Azadari (mourning and lamentations gatherings) which is a movement of justice towards eradication of injustice and oppression. Azadari is one of the several bounties and abundant opportunities that Allah has gifted Muslims and specifically Shia Muslims and about which we lack recognition (Maarifat). The majority of Muslims are not acquainted with Azadari, some have become victims of doubts and fabrications and with utmost grievances there are few who out of ignorance have become enemies of it. The author in the following examines Azadari and its two dimensions (its benefits and the purpose in it) as the custom of the great Lady Zainab.
Chapter 2: The Message of Ashura[edit | edit source]
This chapter delivers a key message of Ashura which if not understood becomes the primary source of stagnancy and lack of movement. For understanding the Message of Ashura, we need to understand the event and mission of Ashura and the various causes behind it. The author in this chapter states the message of Ashura which is still a puzzle for certain minds even after hundreds of years of this event; and even for those who consider that the event of Ashura is a resolved subject.
Chapter 3: Hamasa –e- Hussain[edit | edit source]
This chapter presents the true title and subject of the event of Karbala which has become a victim of distortions and has turned into something else other than something related to a movement. The author in this part examines a collection of Allama Murtaza Mutttaheri’s speeches related to recognition of Karbala, Ashura and Hussain. At first explains the word Hamasa and the four elements present inside it: action, movement, bravery, and resistance (Moqawamat). He summarizes this topic in this way: an act of Hamasa has four elements. If these four things enter inside any act today it makes it a Hamasa else the act won’t be Hamasa. Every action is not Hamasa, every resistance is not Hamasa and every act of bravery is not Hamasa.
Chapter 4: Perseverance (Istiqamat) – A Lesson from Karbala[edit | edit source]
This chapter presents a historical analysis of the circumstances that leads to people losing hopes and coming under pressure resulting into stillness. The author here concentrates, analyzes and discusses on the purpose of uprising of the Doyen of Martyrs. He examines the difference between wanting and being forced in the action of Imam Hossein.
