Her vision towards Imam Hussain[edit | edit source]
In one of her books, Visualizing Belief and Piety in Iranian Shiism, she is offering a new paradigm of Islamic culture and iconography through an analysis of the Iranian Shia environment.
In one chapter of this book, she explains Ashura tragedy in detail and Shia’s opinions towards this tragedy. Then she mentioned the impression that Ashura has made so far, leading people’s actions in a certain way without ordering them directly. In the following chapters, she explained how the Ashura ritual has been held so far in Iran.
She introduced some new roles in Ashura’s ritual like Maddah explaining how they narrate the tragedy and send the message of Ashura to people.
