Abu Bakr b. Ali was among companions of Imam Hussain who was martyred at the Battle of Karbala. It is stated that Abu Bakr b. Ali was the first of Imam Ali's children who stepped in the battlefield on the Day of Ashura to defend Ahl al-Bayt and his brother, Imam al-Hussain.
