Mohammad Taqi Jafari was an Iranian philosopher, scholar and Islamic theologist.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Muhammad-Taqi Ja'fari was born on 15 August 1925 in Tabriz, Iran. He was an expert in various fields such as history, logic, metaphysics, philosophy, literature, mysticism, jurisprudence, and philosophy of science. Alame Jafari received his Ijtihad degree at the age of 23.

He died in London on November 16th, 1998 and was buried in Mashhad in the vicinity of Imam Reza Shrine.

His vision towards Karbala[edit | edit source]

In one of his articles called “The Imam Hussain’s concepts of religion and leadership”, he explained the philosophy of martyrdom in detail. At the end of the article, he introduced the tragedy of Karbala and the martyrdom of Imam Husayn on Ashura as a crucial role in the history of Shi’ism to inspire Muslims to support the truth and stand against injustice.

In another work, he published a prayer book called “Imam Hossein's Prayers at the Arafat Desert”. You can read Imam Hussayn’s prayers during the tragedy of Karbala. Imam said this prayer in the Arafat desert.

In one of his books called “Imam Hossein, the Martyr of Human Pioneer Culture”, he explained Imam Hussayn characteristics well and this book is considered as one the best books about the tragedy of Karbala and Imam Husayn's character and personality. In another work, he published a prayer book called “Imam Hossein's Prayers at the Arafat Desert” in which You can read Imam Hussayn’s prayers during the tragedy of Karbala and the prayers said by him in the Arafat desert.
