Nacim Pak Shiraz is a Professor at the University of Edinburgh.

Biography

Nacim Pak Shiraz is a Professor and Head of the Department of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Edinburg. She is also the Head of Persian Studies at the University.  Holding a Ph.D. in film and media, she supervises students in the same level studying film, religion, politics, cinema and visual arts in the University of Edinburgh. She has organized several film festivals in England and presented at various other international film festivals. In 2020, she was invited to judge the International Film festival held in Prague, the Czech Republic, from 5-10 January.

She is also a member of the societies of the British Institute for Persian Studies, Middle Eastern Studies Association and Association of Iranian Studies, and other committees at the University of Edinburgh and Agha Khan Foundation. She is also the governor of the membership committee at the Institute of Ismaili Studies.
