Chapter 1: Abul Fazl al Abbas: Eminence and StatusEdit

At the beginning of the book, the author describes Abbas and examines the reason for his presence in the plain of Karbala based on his insight and belief.

"Hazrat Abul Fazl al-Abbas was for Imam Husain what Prophet Haroon was for Prophet Moosa and Ameerul Momineen for the Messenger of Allah. But Hazrat Abbas had some special qualities in which he was unique and unequalled." (Page 10 )

Chapter 2: The Honor of Hazrat AbbasEdit

In this section, the author tells a story for understanding the dignity of Arabs and points to the originality of Arab families and concludes that if an ordinary Arab can be so respectable, then imagine the extent of the dignity of Hazrat Abbas that Is found.

Chapter 3: Hazrat Abbas and the Imam of the timeEdit

Here we became aware of Abbas obedience, that is, to give preference to the life and limb of Imam over one’s own. This is the highest level of belief and faith.

Chapter 4: The Philosophy of Quenching the Thirst.Edit

In this section the author examines the philosophy of quenching thirst. He believes that the extent of this trait should be measured according to the past. Therefore, he takes a brief look at the perspective of Arab culture. Then he concludes this part with Hazrat Abbas and his shrine and the treasures in his shrine.

Chapter 5: MiraclesEdit

In this section, 20 cases of miracles that happened due to appealing (Tawassul) to Hazrat Abbas have been collected.

Chapter 6: TawassulEdit

This chapter deals with the manner and types of appeals to Hazrat Abbas and shows the importance of mentioning Hazrat Abbas's mother in appealing to him.

"It is recommended to recite a sura of Qur’an as on behalf of Hazrat Abalfazl Abbas and present to his mother (Ommolbanin). The request would be fulfilled Inshallah." (Page 65)

Chapter 7: Life HistoryEdit

In this chapter, the author enumerates the moral and behavioral traits of Abbas, the brave son of Ameerul Momineen during his life, including faithfulness, truth seeking, struggle with falsehood, and self-sacrifice.

"Karbala became an educative and positive school, the graduates of a prominent example of virtue, perfection, chivalry, generosity, devotion, strength and support, and in general of any good trait and attribute of merit concerned with human benevolence which were awarded with the medals of faith, sincerity, promise, Jihad, …, and Abbas was the crown of students in that university." (Page 66)

Then the author reviews Abbas's life from birth to the last opportunity, when the bloody sun of Ashura set at the end of epic in the Euphrates Bank. 

Chapter 8: Hazrat Abbas and the Infallible ImamsEdit

In the final part of the book, the author examines the personality traits of Abbas from the opinion of the Holy Prophet, Imam Ali and Imam Hussein, and notes that even Imam Zaman mentioned Abbas and his chivalry in Ziarat-e Nahiyah.

"Normally, a brave man does not easily accept circumstances that are incompatible with his nature and mental makeup. But Hazrat Abbas reconciled himself to the difficulties of Karbala. Despite his courage and valor, to witness the painful and miserable condition of Imam Husain and his family, was in itself an achievement for him." (Page 110)
