* PhD (2010) in Anthropology from Aarhus University , with a thesis on historicity and political imagination in Bahrain.
* studied the role of religious authority among the Shiʿa in Kuwait In 2013-2016, 
* academic articles appeared in Middle East Critique (2018),  Journal of Shiʿa Islamic Studies (2015), International Journal of Heritage Studies (2015), Critical Interventions (2014), History and Anthropology (2011), and Social Analysis (2010)
* worked with Shia in Kuwait, with the role of sectarianism in Bahrain and Kuwait, and currently with the Bahraini Shia diaspora in London and Denmark, within the research project Mediatized Diaspora.

== His academic work based On Ashura ==
In one of his articles called  “[[Ashura]] in Bahrain: Analyses of an Analytical Event”, he claimed that Ashura is an annual [[Shiʿa|Shi'i]] ritual commemorating the death of [[Hussain ibn Ali|Imam Hussain]] at the [[Battle of Karbala]] in AD 680. He mainly worked on culture of this rituals in Bahrain that has political connotations and variety of activities are hold in this country. In this article,he is mainly discussing different perspectives of people participating in this ritual and he came up with a question about the relationship between his analysis and the event.
