Amir was a devoted Shi'a who pledged allegiance to Muslim b. Aqil. After the martyrdom of Muslim, he fled secretly Kufa to join Imam Hussain's camp in Karbala. He was eventually martyred at the Battle of Karbala. ==Martyrdom== When Habbab b. Amir learned about the martyrdom of Muslim b. Aqil, he hid and waited for an opportunity to join Imam. After he was informed about moving Imam Hussain toward Kufa, left Kufa secretly and joined the caravan of Imam. He was martyred on the day of Ashura. Some sources reported his martyrdom in the first attack of the army of Umar b. Sa'd. ==Source== *WikiShia, An online encyclopedia of the school of Ahl al-Bayt ==References== fa:حباب بن عامر <references />Companions of Imam al-Hussain
